    Education : Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred

    Location : Reports to the Brooklyn Office and Bronx Office

    Experience : Minimum of two years of experience in outreach and/or community organizing within vulnerable populations.

    Position Overview: The Senior Engagement Manager (SEM) is responsible for leading engagement initiatives and managing a team of Engagement Associates and Community Impact Specialist to ensure seamless program operations and robust community partnerships. Reporting to the Vice President of Program, the SEM designs and implements effective engagement strategies, builds strong relationships with community stakeholders, and oversees recruitment and family re-engagement activities. This role combines strategic planning with operational oversight to strengthen Power of Two’s presence and impact within vulnerable communities. As a leader within the organization, the SEM fosters a positive team culture, supports professional development, and ensures that all outreach efforts align with Power of Two’s mission and values.

    Key Responsibilities: Engagement Strategy and Program Delivery:

    • Manage 5-6 partnership accounts across NYC to cultivate authentic relationships to obtain referrals and track partners’ progress. Meet monthly to maintain these relationships and collaborate on effective solutions to address challenges and celebrate strengths.
    • Oversee and support the Senior Engagement Associates in facilitating highly effective and results driven outreach efforts to recruit quality referrals. Outreach efforts are as follows but not limited to: tabling, canvassing, outreach calls/email blasts, partner joint visits, presentations/workshops or events. This will be offered to new families and/or partner organizations to promote program awareness and education during community functions that may occur evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Collaborate with the Community Resource Specialist to identify bi-directional-referral opportunities.
    • Utilize internal database to pull reports weekly to analyze data, track progress and leverage partner relationships and outreach strategies to make strategic plans and decisions that support the overall organizational goals.
    • Serve as back up support to the Engagement team in processing and serving vulnerable individuals referred via external databases such as Unite Us and FindHelp.

    Team Leadership and Supervision:

    • Supervise a team of 2-3 Engagement team members across the Bronx and Brooklyn offices.
    • Support team members’ professional development, time management, and strategic planning through regular supervision.
    • Cultivate a team culture focused on collaboration, creativity, accountability, continuous learning, improvement, and quality.
    • Plan and track the annual engagement team budget and expenses.

    Collaboration & Organizational Development:

    • Join VPP and Program Director to represent Power of Two at community organization meetings, partner events, and public forums.
    • Serve as part of the management team, contributing to organizational policies, culture-building, and strategic planning.
    • Implement consistent, values-driven management practices to support organizational goals.
    • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
    • Support other teams and departments as needed to reach organizational goals.
