    Description

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development and Operations Coordinator will play a key support role across fundraising, program operations and administration. You will work closely with senior level staff, gain experience in nonprofit development strategy, and help build the systems that keep our organization running smoothly. Responsibilities include development and office operations, supporting the execution of RTNYC’s annual fundraising plan, coordinating build days, and related communications.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Responsibilities

    • Help coordinate fundraising campaigns and events
    • Assist with donor outreach and stewardship efforts
    • Maintain and update donor database (e.g., Salesforce, Excel) and website (Wordpress)
    • Draft newsletters, event overviews, thank-you notes, volunteer satisfaction surveys and other communications
    • Coordinate and attend annual fundraising events including: Rebuild NYC Gala, Golf Outing, She Builds, and Community Rebuild Days
    • Help monitor budgets, coordinate vendor contracts and deliverables
    • Build relationships with fundraising and event committees, volunteers and other stakeholders to assist with organizational development and fundraising
    • Write compelling narratives highlighting our services and impact for our website, social media, e-blasts and other stakeholders
    • Organize, order and manage office and event supplies; serve as liaison with office technology
    • Support grant and funder research, grant writing and reporting
    • Support the Executive Director to carry out the mission of the organization

    Who You Are:

    • A recent college graduate or early-career professional excited to collaborate to build our business
    • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and willing to pitch in wherever needed
    • A strong communicator (both written and verbal)
    • Comfortable with (or eager to learn) tools like Salesforce, Microsoft 365/Excel, Wordpress, Constant Contact, Instagram, LinkedIn and Canva
    • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude
    • Passionate about RTNYC's mission and committed to equity, inclusion, and community impact
    • Must work in person in the Brooklyn office a minimum of four days/week
    • High ethical standards and discretion with confidential information
