    Position Description

    Under general supervision, the Development Services Manager supports and works closely with the Director of Development to fulfill the goals of the school’s stewardship and fundraising efforts. The Development Services Manager is responsible for supporting the day‐to‐day functions of the Development office, including database management (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge), data collection and dissemination, constituent records, moves management, recording donor engagement, prospect research and management, gift processing, acknowledgement data, analysis of data, and report preparation. As a crucial member of the advancement team,the Development Services Manager will thoroughly understand the history and culture of philanthropy at Epiphany School as it relates to fundraising, admission, families, donors, and stewardship.

    Location & Schedule

    The person in this role must work in-person on the school campus in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The position will require evening and weekend work, including traveling locally for donor meetings and fundraising events.

    Standard school operating hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm. Staff meetings are on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 5:00pm.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Supervise all aspects of all monetary and in-kind gift processing:
      • Fund establishment
        • Including Annual, Spring and Endowments
      • Acknowledgement data
      • Receipt and year-end tax receipt creation
      • Pledge reminder data
      • Solicitation forms
    • Reconcile gift information with the Business Office and balance monthly
    • Data support for all fundraising and engagement efforts, including campaigns and events
    • Prepare recurring and ad hoc statistical and analytical reports, including dashboard and donor pipeline reports that may require manipulation and analysis of data and tracks metrics of department activity for Director of Development (includes reports for Board of Trustees meetings, Annual Impact Report, publications, regulatory bodies, auditors, and other interested parties)
    • Responsible for designing queries and provides data analysis with a strategic focus to inform department decisions
    • Tracking all details related to donor solicitation meetings, engagement, correspondence, pledges, payment schedules, and pledge proposals
    • Support the capital campaign committee with standard and customized pipeline reports and develop a campaign dashboard report
    • Responsible for prospect management, collaborating with front-line fundraisers to help the department meet ongoing goals or current campaign milestones
    • Serve as the project manager and produce data for the annual impact report, and any other development publications needing information
    • Maintain the integrity of the database, update data, collection and input of information
    • Participate in occasional committee meetings and school wide events, which may occur in the evening, or on weekends
    • Complete CASE add this to the general report bullet
    • Create annual performance and stewardship reports for our endowment donors
    • Supports the Director of Development &Annual Giving and Alumni Manager in reporting and administrative work to produce and send annual fund appeal communications
    • Support with all development-related events with event preparation, registration and RSVPs, post-event follow-up, and stewardship as needed
    • Identify and prepare grant proposals and associated foundation reporting
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development

    Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education in a relevant field
    • At least three or more years’ experience in non‐profit or independent school advancement required
    • Two years minimum database experience required
    • Experience in fundraising, gift processing, and data extrapolation and analysis required
    • Strong database and spreadsheet skills required
    • Superior organizational and project management skills with a high degree of detail‐oriented accuracy
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language; fluency in additional languages a plus
    • Proven ability to maintain and secure highly confidential information
    • Strong database management skills, experience with donor database applications, and special event applications (i.e., Greater Giving)
    • Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred
    • Fluency in MS Office Suite applications with specific proficiency in Excel
    • Self‐starter with track record of demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and sensitivity to others while working in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, and to manage details and deadlines
    • High energy– brings a sense of urgency to the organization

    Benefits

    The salary range for this role is between $85,000and $95,000 based on years of experience, education, and internal equity.
