Since 1971, we’ve served artists, students, and the public through classes, workshops, memberships, and special events.     About the Role

    We’re looking for a personable, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This full-time position provides essential support to the Executive Director and leadership team, helps manage daily operations, and includes front desk responsibilities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys both behind-the-scenes organization and friendly face-to-face interaction. You’ll help maintain a welcoming studio environment and keep operations running smoothly through administrative coordination, internal communication, and customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administrative Support

    • Assist the Executive Director and leadership team with day-to-day administrative tasks
    • Manage scheduling, email correspondence, filing, and digital document organization
    • Prepare agendas, materials, and logistics for meetings and events

    Front Desk & Customer Service

    • Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for members, students, and visitors
    • Answer phone calls and emails, and provide information about classes, membership, and services
    • Process sales of clay, tools, and supplies at the front desk

    Operations Support

    • Support administrative coordination for classes, workshops, and events
    • Maintain records, order office supplies, and support general facility upkeep
    • Help with internal communications and scheduling logistics for team meetings and projects

    Classification & Salary

    This is a full-time non-exempt position with a non-negotiable starting rate of pay of $24.50/hour ($50,960 annualized).

    Requirements

    You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have:

    2+ years of administrative or customer service experience· Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills· Comfort with tech tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, and POS systems· A warm, patient, and professional demeanor· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

    Bonus Points For:

    Experience working in a nonprofit, arts, or educational environment· Interest in ceramics or the visual arts · Familiarity with platforms like Bloomerang, Asana, or Adobe Creative Suite · Multilingual fluency
