    Position Summary

    The Youth Partnership & Program Success Manager is a crucial member of the Transformation & Project Management Office at LeadersUp, focused on enhancing youth-centered economic mobility through strategic partnerships and impactful program delivery.This position is responsible for enhancing the success of our young adult portfolio by driving outcomes through personalized coaching, building institutional partnerships, and fostering systemic collaboration.

    This position requires exceptional relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate between young adult support and institutional partnerships across Los Angeles County. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the region’s workforce development landscape, including key industry sectors, employer coalitions, workforce entities, and community college systems. The role will coordinate closely with the Transformation and Stakeholder Engagement Offices to maximize impact across LeadersUp's economic empowerment initiatives.

    This position reports to the VP, Head of Transformation & Project Management and includes a travel commitment of up to 40% locally, statewide, or nationally.

    Essential Duties

    Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and manage strategic partnerships with employers, campuses, and community-based organizations to support inclusive hiring and program engagement.
    • Secure 15–20 employer partnerships annually that offer mentorship, internships, or career exposure opportunities.
    • Formalize resource-sharing agreements with UC and CSU campuses and other academic systems to increase academic and career support.
    • Lead MOU development to activate wraparound support services for youth participants.
    • Design and maintain stakeholder tracking tools and systems to strengthen cross-functional visibility and coordination.
    • Organize convenings, forums, and other activations to deepen ecosystem engagement.

    Youth Coaching & Program Delivery

    • Provide one-on-one and group coaching aligned to LeadersUp’s four empowerment domains.
    • Lead monthly learning and peer support sessions for assigned Fellows.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to respond to youth needs and deliver holistic referrals.
    • Develop individualized development plans for youth participants based on identified career pathways.
    • Track coaching sessions and outcomes in Airtable to inform continuous improvement and impact storytelling.

    Program Infrastructure & Cross-Collaboration

    • Co-design scalable systems, onboarding processes, and referral pathways to expand program capacity.
    • Create toolkits and resources that support campus and CBO partner activation.
    • Contribute to stakeholder evaluations, reporting, and data collection to ensure partnership success and outcomes alignment.
    • Collaborate across the Evolve Forum, Equity Unleashed, and LA Economic Empowerment Alliance initiatives to strengthen programmatic synergy and alignment.
    • ​​Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Design & Delivery

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine initiatives within each portfolio, bringing role-specific insights to enhance service effectiveness and reach.
    • Participate in the implementation and contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio projects and strategies, applying specialized skills and knowledge and offering feedback and suggestions based on role-specific observations and expertise.
    • Support the measurement and evaluation of portfolio outcomes, assisting in the collection and analysis of data to inform strategy and decision-making.

    Qualifications, Capabilities & Experience

    • Demonstrated experience in:
      • Institutional or employer partnership development
      • Stakeholder engagement across education, workforce, or social service sectors
      • Direct service work with BIPOC and first-generation youth (ages 16–30).
    • Advanced knowledge in higher education administration, public policy, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field. Skills can be showcased through a combination of education, full-time, part-time, internship, and/or freelance positions, reflecting a comprehensive and adaptable skill set.
    • Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities, partnerships, and deliverables simultaneously.
    • Strong understanding of the education and workforce landscape in Los Angeles County.
    • Experience in documenting, tracking, and reporting program outcomes and KPIs.
    • Advanced knowledge or education in higher education administration, public policy, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field.
    • Lived experience or deep familiarity with the challenges and strengths of first-generation, BIPOC young adults.
    • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for LA-based travel.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may vary from time to time.
