    Job Overview:

    The Part-Time Government Grants and Reporting Manager will be responsible for grant prospecting, grant writing and grant reporting and compliance. Specifically, this position is responsible for writing effective proposals resulting in grant awards and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing government grant-funded projects. The four main aspects of this role are (1) grant research and identification (2) grant application and proposal development (3) budgeting and financial management, (4) reporting and funder relations.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Write grant proposals and reports in accordance with each grant-making agency’s specific guidelines. This work depends on strong writing skills and cohesive storytelling abilities.
    • Actively monitor grant compliance and deadlines to ensure that funding allocations required by our grants, quantities distributed, strategic growth and other requirements are being met.
    • Promote the positive culture of Mitzvah Circle internally and externally.
    • Special Projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Required
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Government Grant Writing
    • Superior writing skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Dedication to service and nonprofit work
    • Able to handle sensitive situations and maintain strict confidentiality
    • Very strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Ability to build relationships with our major constituent groups
    • Must be a self-starter, able to work without specific direction
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute complex tasks in fast-paced work environment
    • Experience using Excel for data analysis
    • Salesforce experience is a plus but not required
    • Desire to share the vision of Mitzvah Circle with the community and other groups.

    This position reports to the Executive Director.

    This position is part-time, 20 hours a week. It can be hybrid or remote.
