    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Internationals Network is currently seeking a passionate, skilled, and committed values-based leader to assume the role of Director of New Partnerships and Wider Impact. The Director of New Partnerships and Wider Impact plays a crucial role within the organization, and oversees our efforts to widen Internationals Network’s impact by supporting districts, schools, and other partners in applying ideas and strategies from our schools’ successful approach. The Director implements current offerings and develops new ways for potential partners to engage so that we may support a broad array of learning communities in strengthening their support for recently-arrived adolescent MLLs. The Director of New Partnerships and Wider Impact oversees the contract, budgets, service delivery, and personnel (both internal staff and consultants) involved in building and sustaining these initiatives while collaboratively contributing to the overall success and growth of Internationals Network.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Program Oversight, Facilitation, and Organizational Leadership:

    • Oversee and expand the overarching continuum of support, inclusive of the "Explore Possibilities" and "Build Foundations" programs nationally, including existing initiatives in NY, CA, DMV, and other regions.
    • Develop and refine services to build more entry points for partnership, supporting the organization's growth goals via the Learning Network.
    • Plan and facilitate program activities to strengthen communities of practice within and across a network of secondary schools in key regions; contribute to and sustain content and resource hub development.
    • Assess the needs/assets of potential partners, and negotiate with school- and district-level staff on how best to implement our offerings in a way that ensures partners meet the needs of their MLL communities.
    • Manage the provision of leadership and whole-school coaching to Learning Network and new partner schools and academies in key regions, either by direct facilitation or by managing others to do so.
    • Provide guidance and direction to leadership and instructional coaches, and consultants for effective program implementation.
    • Coordinate delivery of contracted services to clients working with Internationals Network, including school leader meetings, coaches meetings, annual leadership retreats, school intervisitations, inquiry-based data collection, strategic planning sessions, and professional development workshops and conferences.

    Entrepreneurial Approach to Sales and Growth:

    • Collaborate with Senior Directors on establishing and maintaining a strategic outreach and marketing plan in line with the organization's growth strategy while managing new inbound sales requests nationally.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Programs and the Senior Director of Schools to design and refine programs of service to build more entry points for widening impact and new partnerships, supporting the organization's growth goals, as well as to help schools determine whether and how to work toward full scale adoption of the Internationals Schoolwide model.
    • Support the research and securing of fee-for-service, government, corporate, and foundation funding in collaboration with the Senior Directors of Programs and Advancement & Advocacy.

    Collaboration and Partnerships:

    • Partner closely with the Programs and Schools teams to ensure seamless collaboration between program delivery and content alignment.
    • Work collaboratively with regional teams to facilitate network-wide sharing, collaboration, and school support.
    • Collaborate with the Advocacy and Advancement team in developing impact performance measurements, management, and regional advocacy related to Learning Network and other wider impact initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with districts, schools, local CBOs, and advocacy organizations to support both school-based work and network growth.
    • Collaborate with the Finance & Operations team to administer and manage program budgets and track service delivery.
    • Communicate goals, deliverables, and vision of Learning Network initiatives to Programs team and all staff; Accurately collect and report program data and statistics for evaluation.
    • Align strategy and take disciplined action across the organization to pursue a shared vision of impact, aligning programmatic efforts with the organization’s mission and vision.

    External Responsibilities:

    • Represent Internationals to various stakeholders, managing engagement with potential partners.
    • Assist in engagement events and planning.

    Internal Process & Structure:

    • Design and implement internal structures promoting good communication, human-centered accountability, and clarity.
    • Ensure consistency in aligning micro-activity with the organization's macro-strategy.

    Management:

    • Provide regular meaningful feedback, coaching, and support to consultants and other direct reports in alignment with Internationals' annual and long-term mission objectives, people plans, and individual developmental needs.
    • Ensure appropriate staffing of Learning Network projects so that services can be delivered with fidelity.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: Master’s Degree in education, nonprofit management, and/or related field preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with MLLs, teachers of MLLs, school and district leaders preferred.
    • Skills and Attributes:
      • Demonstrated commitment to improving secondary education for immigrant ELLs, and familiarity with the Internationals Approach to supporting MLLs.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships on behalf of the organization.
      • Experience and/or ability to market services to districts, schools, & other potential partners. Including responding to RFPs and contract negotiations.
      • Ability to position and implement services to schools to achieve the greatest impact.
      • Strong project management, program planning, and implementation skills.
      • Familiarity and experience with adult learning and professional development best practices.
      • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of staff members.
      • Ability to take feedback and learn from peers and supervisors.
      • Ability to communicate effectively and compellingly both orally and in writing.
      • Experience planning meetings, conferences, and events of varying sizes.
      • Experience coaching leaders, preferably in education settings.

    Location: Hybrid; Role will be based in one of our key geographic hubs (NYC, Southern CA, Bay Area CA, or the DC, Maryland, Virginia region); Regular meetings within NYC Metro Area and routine national travel (~monthly, time of year dependent)
