    Competitive salary or contractor rate commiserate with experience (as this is a global role, the rate is dependent on the successful candidates location). For those based in Colorado and New York the salary range is $76,000 to $108,000.

    SCOPE OF ROLE

    This role will focus on enhancing TBB’s operational efficiency and effectiveness. The role reports to the Chief Finance & People Officer (CFPO) , with a focus on TBB’s larger programs, and grant funded projects and initiatives within our global program. Support the CFPO in managing financial operations, ensuring alignment with TBB’s goals and compliance requirements. The role will lead core global programs for grants management, working closely with program teams to ensure compliance with our large Government and Non Governmental Agencies. The role is global, working across multiple jurisdictions and time zones with a capacity to learn new locations, funders and requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Grants Management (50%)

    • Manage grant workflows including key milestones, tracking of deliverables and any associated compliance steps in project management system (asana)
    • Ensure appropriate grant compliance is maintained with sound recording keeping of source documentation
    • Support grant compliance against grant agreements across global teams including finance, procurement, personnel and contracting
    • Maintain budgets and financial records for grants globally
    • Implement accounting software and system for grants and funds management
    • Develop and operationalize record keeping for grants in a standardized practice, with consistent document standards
    • Facilitate donor reports via a reporting schedule, gathering inputs from relevant stakeholders, developing templates and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met
    • Assist program teams to adopt TBB grant management processes
    • Create and maintain a global schedule for pre-award, delivery and post award requirements
    • Assist Head of Programs with grants management as required

    Finance operations (50%)

    • Work closely with the Chief Finance & People Officer to suggest and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency of TBB’s operations for global project management, grants management and finance
    • Build capacity with program delivery teams for standardized financial grants management, standardize reporting, cadence, timesheets, and substantiation
    • Provide assistance to the Chief Finance & People Officer r in external audits (Australia, Canada, Jordan, UK & US), providing required information associated with grants
    • Administer consultants, contractor payments and accounts payable
    • Facilitate payroll, consulting and contractor payments globally for grant funded programs, and TBB as a whole (Administer payroll and employee benefits, including the organization’s 401(k) plan, and assist the President / CEO with HR compliance functions)
    • Supervise external bookkeepers and or internal accountant and the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables
    • Coordinate and schedule external meetings as needed, take minutes, and communicate with attendees
    • Support the annual budgeting process
    • Assist Chief Finance & People Officer as required

    Skills and experience

    • Extensive experience in operations preferred
    • Excellent project management & time management skills
    • Excellent stakeholder management and teamwork skills
    • Excellent grants management skills (Government and Non Governmental Agency contracts experience highly desirable)
    • Be confident with numbers
    • Experience with systems administration
    • Experience with working with, bookkeepers, accountants and external auditors
    • High resilience and compassion
    • Strong computer literacy and willingness to use/learn a range of tools including slack, google suite, zoom, project management, HRIS, Accounting software

    Desirable:

    • Lived refugee experience
