    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    AFU is seeking a Program Director to strengthen AFU's infrastructure, support grassroots leadership, and manage campaign implementation and internal coordination.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Program & Campaign Execution
      • Implement advocacy campaigns and manage event logistics
      • Support organizational initiatives, retreats, and fly-ins
      • Prepare for and facilitate the Advisory Board meetings
    2. Leadership Support & Development
      • Provide coaching and oversight to Regional Leaders and State Captains
      • Lead onboarding, trainings, and communications for leadership
    3. Comms Committee Coordination
      • Support execution of comms strategy in coordination with Comms consultant
      • Coordinate timelines and ensure content alignment across teams
    4. Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
      • Represent AFU in meetings with or on behalf of ED
      • Ensure documentation and follow-up from coalition spaces

    Capacity-Building Impact

    • Lightens ED’s workload on internal operations
    • Expands presence in key partnerships and events
    • Creates continuity and support for regional structure

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A deep commitment to advocating for a path to citizenship and comfort and ease advocating for families
    • Comfort working with broad diversity of stakeholders, including CEOs and the business community as well as directly impacted individuals
    • 3 to 5 years of direct experience in political, grassroots, or fundraising activities
    • Exceptional communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal)
    • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite
    • Experience with EveryAction preferred
    • Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
