    Job Description

    Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and BOLD Project Director, the Program Manager will support and coordinate efforts to strengthen Boston’s public health infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). This role is responsible for supporting program implementation, partner engagement, and ensuring alignment with CDC priorities, while assisting with advancing education, policy, and system changes that support individuals living with ADRD and their caregivers. The Program Manager will help oversee grant activities, support stakeholder engagement, and help drive strategies that promote brain health, risk reduction, early detection, and dementia-friendly communities across Boston.

    DUTIES:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the BOLD project, including planning, implementation, and alignment with BPHC, CDC priorities, and the Heathy Brain Initiative (HBI) Road Map
    • Support in the development, tracking, and implementation of project workplans, timelines, and performance measures to meet project goals and deliverables
    • Support the coordination and growth of the Boston BOLD Coalition, ensuring long-term sustainability
    • Advance and implement public health strategies that reduce ADRD risk factors, with attention to populations experiencing a high burden of disease
    • Help develop and implement public education campaigns on brain health, dementia risk reduction, early detection, and caregiver resources
    • Monitor grant compliance, timelines, deliverables, contracts, and reporting requirements
    • Coordinate and prepare required grant reports, liaising with key partners on progress
    • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and submitting grant proposals
    • Collaborate effectively with staff across BPHC, city departments, BOLD coalition, and external organizations to execute key deliverables
    • Monitor data on ADRD burden, risk factors, and caregiver needs to inform strategies
    • Build and sustain partnerships with community organizations, healthcare systems, caregivers, advocacy groups, and government agencies
    • Assist in the development of data collection strategies and program evaluation methods; disseminate findings through reports and presentations
    • Draft contracts to ensure alignment and compliance
    • Produce memos, presentations, reports, flyers, and other forms of communication
    • Plan, facilitate, and represent BPHC in meetings with partners, funders, and stakeholders
    • Provide technical assistance to grantees and monitor contract performance
    • Facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity-building among coalition members and across public health programs (e.g. aging services, chronic disease, caregiver support, faith-based initiatives, etc.).
    • Support Principal Investigator and Project Director in ensuring that project aligns with organizational priorities
    • Contribute to long-term sustainability planning

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Master's degree in public health/ health sciences or related degree, plus 2 years of experience (or bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience)
    • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias, caregiving issues, and aging populations
    • Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience managing federal grants, including reporting and compliance
    • Experience managing projects with flexible timeline and iterative deliverables
    • Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail, and partnership-building skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboratively and independently
    • Familiarity with public health programming and a commitment to inclusive, respectful, and effective engagement with diverse communities
    • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, public health approaches to addressing factors that influence health outcomes, including social and structural conditions
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software applications
    • Perform other duties as required

    • City of Boston residency is required; Allston, Back Bay, Bay Village, Beacon Hill, Brighton, Charlestown, Chinatown, Dorchester, Downtown, East Boston, Fenway-Kenmore, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Mid-Dorchester, Mission Hill, North End, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston, South End, West End, West Roxbury, Wharf district.

    35 hours/week; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

    Some evenings and weekends may be required.
