    Description

    Summary: JHP seeks an Employment Specialist with exemplary coaching, facilitation, and teaching skills in effort to prepare Customers for employment through engaging classroom interactions and instructions.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Employment Specialist will:

    • Conduct workforce development and career training sessions for program participants
      • Utilize coaching, facilitation, and teaching skills to prepare customers for employment
      • Cultivate an engaging learning environment through a variety of training topics and delivery methods
      • Keep customers engaged and motivated throughout the employment preparation process
      • Ensure customers have a sound understanding of key activities required to gain and retain employment
      • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective training strategies
      • Maintain accurate records of training sessions and customer progress
      • Provide feedback and support to customers to enhance their employability skills
      • Ability to create an engaging learning environment by creatively blending training topics and modes of delivery, ensuring that customers remain motivated throughout the employment preparation process
      • Advocate for customers' needs and rights, providing advocacy and support as necessary
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, program enrollments, and outcomes
      • Ensure compliance with data privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures
      • Other duties and projects, as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in adult learning, workforce development, career training or other employment related field
    • Prior experience working with populations like the District’s Customers
    • Proficient at facilitation and coaching
    • Demonstrated experience in effective communication
    • Computer literate
    • Able to create stimulating learning environments and keep Customers engaged
    • Sound understanding of key activities that Customers must complete to successfully gain and retain employment

    Salary and Benefits Package:

    • $46,000 - $48,000 DOE
