The WRJ Philanthropy and Database Fellowship is a unique two-year opportunity designed for early-career professionals passionate about feminism, social justice, and the Jewish community. Beginning in 2025, this fellowship offers hands-on experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, and philanthropic operations within a mission-driven, collaborative, and inclusive Jewish nonprofit environment. Working closely with WRJ’s professional staff and lay leadership, the Philanthropy and Database Fellow will help strengthen WRJ’s culture of giving and community through relationship-building, campaign support, and data-informed development strategies. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about Jewish communal life and philanthropy, who is eager to develop skills in donor engagement, nonprofit development, and fundraising communications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a WRJ Philanthropy and Database Fellow, you will contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of WRJ’s fundraising initiatives, with a focus on cultivating relationships and sustaining a vibrant donor community. You will gain experience across core areas of development work, from stewardship and events to communications and grants, while helping to advance WRJ’s mission of collective giving and social impact.

WHO YOU ARE
You’re an early-career professional with 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or data management. You’re curious, detail-oriented, and values-driven. You bring strong interpersonal skills, a passion for social impact, and a desire to grow in the field of Jewish philanthropy. You thrive in a collaborative, remote environment where relationship-building and mission alignment are central to the work.
