    Job Title: Analyst, Business Systems

    Job Location: Remote eligible

    JOB SUMMARY

    The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has undertaken a digital transformation that will serve as a strategic upgrade and integration of technology across all areas of the organization. The transformation will enable a fundamental change in IEDC's operations, stakeholder experiences, and culture. IEDC is in the systems selection phase of this transformation and will enter the implementation phase in Q3 2025. The Analyst, Business Systems will play an integral part in the implementation of these systems and once deployed, leverage them for continuous improvement in business processes and stakeholder experience.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & KEY OUTCOMES

    The Analyst, Business Systems will work closely with all IEDC team members to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and lay the foundation for and subsequently implement data-driven solutions through a variety of new systems, including a customer relationship management (CRM) platform, learning management system (LMS), event management system, website platform, and more. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, with a focus on using data and emerging technologies to drive business value.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    • Map and document current business processes across teams/workstreams and create, collaborate, and implement new processes in systems
    • Establish a foundation, aggregate, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvements in business operations and customer experiences
    • Administer IEDC's association database, including but not limited to: designing and implementing custom business workflows and processes; configuring dashboards, reports, and opportunity pipelines; ensuring data quality and integrity; and providing end-user support
    • Support the development of business requirements for digital transformation initiatives
    • Create clear, concise reports and presentations, both from standard dashboards and custom analysis, to communicate findings to stakeholders
    • Assist in tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Participate in user acceptance testing for new solutions
    • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and suggest and implement subsequent refinements
    • Utilize process improvement methodologies to streamline and improve overall user experience
    • Support the evaluation of AIdriven tools
    • and automation opportunities within business processes
    • Create and maintain documentation of business processes and system requirements
    • Assist in establishing data governance policies and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms
    • Other duties as assigned or required

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS

    Required qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
    • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Process Improvement Analyst, CRM Administrator/Analyst, or similar role

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Understanding of data analysis techniques and tools for statistical analysis, data mining, and visualization (PowerBI experience required)
    • Experience with business process modeling notation (BPMN) or similar methodologies
    • Experience managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and developing workflow processes with Power Automate
    • Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
    • Understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality management
    • Understanding of AI concepts, tools, & potential business applications, including agentic AI
    • Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder interviews
    • Experience facilitating workshops and process mapping sessions with groups of varying technical backgrounds
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Self-motivated with the ability to own projects and work independently
    • Ability to work collaboratively and with transparency
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to various audiences

    SALARY & BENEFITS

    The expected salary for this position is between $79,200 - $103,900 based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and additional considerations.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    This position is eligible for remote work within the United States. Candidates within commuting distance of Washington, DC are considered local and have the option to work from IEDC’s offices. If not located within commuting distance of our Washington, DC office, candidates must be located in the United States, have reliable access to dedicated high-quality internet service, and be willing to accommodate an Eastern U.S. schedule of operations. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    In addition, this position requires:

      • Occasional weekend and evening work
      • Some overnight, out-of-town travel (10-15%)
      • Occasional travel to the IEDC office

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally talk, hear, stoop, bend, kneel, frequently sit for extended periods of time; and continuously operate a computer and use manual dexterity for tasks such as keyboarding. The job requires occasional sedentary physical effort of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. The mental demands of the job include continuous comprehension, organizing and reading and writing; frequently engage in reasoning, decision making, and interpreting and analyzing data; and occasionally requires resilience.
