    Description

This isn’t just a part-time job; it’s a chance to make a difference every single afternoon. Many of our students face challenges far beyond their years. By joining our team, you will help create a stable, supportive environment where children feel seen, cared for, and motivated to succeed.

If you believe that every child deserves a champion and you thrive on creating meaningful connections while helping young people reach their potential, we want you on our team.

    What You’ll Do

As a Program Assistant, you’ll be the heart of our daily program operations. Your work helps ensure students are engaged, safe, and supported:

    • Assist with academic enrichment and homework support, helping students gain confidence in their learning.
    • Lead and support hands-on enrichment and character-building activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
    • Provide consistent supervision and care, ensuring students feel safe and valued at all times.
    • Assist with the behind-the-scenes details that make our program run smoothly: snack distribution, attendance tracking, setup, and cleanup of classrooms.
    • Partner with the Center Director and team to create a positive, welcoming space for all students.

What We’re Looking For (Experience Required)

We need someone who is not only passionate about youth but also experienced in working with children in group settings. To thrive here, you must bring both heart and skill:

    • At least 2–3 years of direct experience working with children or youth, ideally in an academic, after-school, or youth development program.
    • High school diploma or equivalent (some college or relevant certifications preferred).
    • Ability to manage groups of children, keep students engaged, and respond to their needs with patience and care.
    • A genuine commitment to serving children in under-resourced communities and understanding the challenges they face.
    • Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check.

    Schedule & Compensation

    • Part-time: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM EST.
    • Competitive hourly pay and the priceless reward of shaping a child’s future.
