Schedule: Sundays only, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay: $18/hour

Position Overview

The Street Safety Ambassador helps ensure a safe, welcoming, and organized environment during Sunday service at Food on Foot. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, with a focus on maintaining safety and order for members, volunteers, and the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol the street to ensure no gatherings occur in front of the affordable housing complex or the complex next door.
• Monitor and control the line of participants waiting for services.
• Train Go Team members on Next Door duties and provide support as needed.
• Communicate regularly with Cooper regarding line numbers.
• Coordinate with the North Gate crew to track who is coming in.
• Assist with distributing water bottles at North Gate.
• Stay in constant communication with security and Cooper regarding outside activity.
• Assist in supervising the Schrader team to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide temporary coverage for the Next Door Go Team member during their workshop, lunch, or while they are going through the line.
