    Description

    October to December: $500 signing bonus after 90 days of successful continuous employment.

    Title: After School Program Instructor (Floater)

    BACR's Expanded Learning Program at Francis Scott Key Elementary School is currently seeking committed and passionate Instructors(Floater) to cover groups of up to 20 students. They are to lead Academic, Enrichment, and Recreation activities for the Expanded Learning Programs in San Francisco. Ideally they will be strongly dedicated to youth development, creative, enthusiastic, and able to commit to working the entire school year.

    Benefits:

    • Pay rate: $24-$26/hour DOE

    Requirements:

    • Ability to work Monday–Friday until 6:00 pm for the duration of the school year
    • Passionate about youth development
    • Experience working with Elementary youth preferred
    • Commitment to education equity and leadership
    • Commitment to working August 2025- June 2026 (Full academic School Year)
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
    • Ability to plan and facilitate activities for up to 20 students
    • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
    • Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students
    • Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff.
    • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
    • Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
    • Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language
    • Provide a safe environment
    • Be a positive role model for struggling students
    • Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school day learning
    • Run community circles based on restorative practices Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development
