    About Box United:

    Box United exists to bring access to transformative physical and mental wellness programming to every Chicago girl. We are the only nonprofit organization that uses the sport of boxing to transform how girls see themselves and what they think is possible in their lives. We do this through our research-backed after school boxing program, Fight Like a Girl. Fight Like a Girl was designed to help girls build powerful punches and a positive relationship with the voice inside their head.

    Boxing Coach Key Responsibilities:

    • Group Boxing Coaching: Coach small group boxing multiple times a week for groups of students around Chicago using the Box United curriculum
    • Planning and Preparation: Dedicate time each week to design boxing lessons and activities. Tailor activities to meet the specific needs and interests of each participant.
    • Program Coordination and Reporting: Meet with the Program Manager weekly to discuss progress, challenges, and upcoming activities. Maintain accurate records of participant progress, attendance, and program outcomes.

    Job Requirements:

    • Boxing or girls sport coaching experience
    • Youth Development experience is strongly preferred
    • Reliable transportation
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Preferred Bachelor's degree in social work, social science, education, psychology, or related field
    • Minimum availability two afternoons/week from 3:15-5:45pm

    Salary and benefits:

    • Hourly Salary: $35/ hour
    • Estimated 5 hours a week

    • Warm-up activity
    • Main boxing drills or exercises
    • How you include SEL (like confidence-building, focus, or positive self-talk)
    • Cool-down and closing activity
