    Description

    Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Outreach & Credentialing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability and connecting them with our workforce development services. The Outreach & Credentialing Coordinator will also coordinate internal and external training providers to support clients in earning industry credentials and to facilitate the weekly workshops series.

    Specific duties of the Outreach & Credentialing Coordinator include:

    • Planning and attending outreach activities to connect individuals with our workforce development programming
    • Collaborating with community partners to schedule workshops that educate clients/alumni on professional development opportunities and additional resources
    • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships and resources in the community that will benefit clients
    • Completing Individual Development Plans with clients to address barriers, support asset development, and set goals
    • Overseeing and assisting in the administration of credentialing programming for clients, including the National Retail Federation Foundation Customer Service & Sales, OSHA 10, and other credentialing opportunities relevant for our clients to enter a competitive workplace
    • Entering and assessing client data in the computer tracking system
    • Completing quarterly internal and external reports
    • Providing coverage for workforce development classes within the education department as needed
    • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or designee

    Qualifications:

    • Experience developing and maintaining community partnerships
    • Advanced computer literacy and technology skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
    • Strong familiarity with supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, returning to the community from incarceration, and experiencing substance use disorders

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands

    • Typical office environment
    • 100% in the office with the flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
    • Ability to use public transit and agency-provided ride share service to travel to community partner locations
    • Frequent sitting
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally
    • Ability to use a computer
    • Ability to reach, grasp, and walk frequently
    • This role requires communicating with others frequently
