    Description

    Position Summary

    The Senior Accountant is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s financial health and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, audits and funding sources. The Senior Accountant partners with senior leadership and the board to develop financial strategy and provide recommendations for long term sustainability. This position Supervises internal accounting/finance staff and works with external auditors and funding sources.

    Qualifications

    The agency encourages exceptional and diverse candidates from a broad variety of backgrounds to apply. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, CPA or MBA preferred. Four to seven years non-profit finance experience with strong knowledge of non-profit GAAP requirements and IRS regulations. Appropriate training and support will be provided.
