    Description

    October to December: $500 signing bonus after 90 days of successful continuous employment.

    BACR's Expanded Learning Program at Lawton Alternative Elementary School is seeking committed and passionate TK and Kinder Program Instructors to change the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our expanded learning Programs in San Francisco. As a Program Instructor you will lead and mentor up to 10 youth in an expanded learning setting.

    Commitment: August 2025 to June 2026 (Full Academic School Year)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Some experience working with youth in a school setting required
    • Ability to reliably commute to San Francisco
    • Ability to pass criminal background check & TB test clearance
    • Commitment to education equity and leadership
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

    Preferred:

    • Commitment to a full school year
    • Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students
    • Provide a safe environment
    • Be a positive role model for struggling students
    • Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school-day learning
    • Run community circles based on restorative practices
    • Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
    • Ability to model BACR Best Practices as shown in our website
