Hunterdon Art Museum seeks a Weekend Receptionist for a Sunday shift with the option to work occasional Saturdays and evenings.
Position Summary:
Duties:
- Greet and check in visitors, students and artists
- Provide directions and information about exhibits, programs, classes and workshops
- Sales: gift shop, classes and memberships
- Answer phones
- Clerical work using MS Word and Excel
- Maintain reception area and adjacent spaces
- Monitor galleries and building facilities (HVAC, lighting, etc.)
- Record admissions in daily logs
- Receive and accept deliveries and packages
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Email)
- Experience working with public in a professional setting
- Self-starter that is friendly, reliable and self-sufficient
- Ability to handle phone and walk-in traffic
- Poise during periods of high volume visitation (special events, receptions, rentals)
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic knowledge of contemporary art
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Work Schedule:
Sunday 10:30m to 5:15pm, with occasional evening hours available . Hours may vary depending on programs and may start at 9am and/or end at 6pm.
Salary: $15.49/hr
