    Role Overview

    Under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, Development Operations, the Associate supports strategic fundraising efforts to help grow Good Sports.

    Key Responsibilities

    Donor Relations

    • Support donor stewardship projects and activities
    • Respond to donor inquiries and provide information about the organization's programs and mission
    • Oversee the monthly giving program and individual fundraisers

    Development Operations Support

    • Process donations, prepare acknowledgement letters, tax receipts, and ensure timely donor recognition
    • Assist in drafting donor reports, proposals, and updates
    • Research prospective donors and funding opportunities
    • Evaluate existing donors for major donor program eligibility
    • Prepare materials for donor meetings and presentations
    • Work collaboratively with team to maintain accurate and current donor records in CRM (NetSuite) database
    • Support special events as needed with rest of Development team

    Other

    • Follow Good Sports' internal policies and procedures
    • Travel as necessary based on the needs of the business
    • May require occasional extended hours
    • All other duties as may be assigned within reasonable scope for Development Team

    Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes

    Position Specific

    • College degree or equivalent experience
    • 1-2 years of post-graduate work experience in a professional office environment (extra points for non-profit experience working in development or fundraising)
    • Applicable work experience that illustrates fundamental core knowledge related to the responsibilities of this role, including best practices, and essential tools or systems
    • Basic technology proficiency with common workplace tools Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Database experience is strongly preferred (we currently use NetSuite).

    Reporting Relationship and Location

    The Associate will report to the Sr. Manager, Development Operations. This position is based in Braintree, MA. To qualify for consideration, applicants must live within a daily commuting distance of Braintree by the start date.

    • The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $53k-62k. Individual placement within this range will be based on relevant and applicable work experience.
    • Company-first hybrid workplace (4 days onsite + 1 day remote, for qualifying positions)
    • Generous paid time off package to include: 20 vacation days (additional days offered after 5 and 10 years of service), fourteen paid holidays (one of which is a Float), a paid day off for your birthday, ½ day summer Fridays, plus a 1-week paid shutdown period in December
