Day One seeks a Social Worker to support the provision of social services to young survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence (IPSV) aged 24 and under. Working under the supervision of Day One’s Associate Director of Social Services, the Social Worker will support Day One’s social services department in the provision of a wide range of social services, including but not limited to both individual and support group counseling as well as case management services. Case management tasks could include completing intake assessments, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals.
ABOUT DAY ONE
Since 2003, Day One has devoted its full resources to preventing intimate partner and sexual violence (IPSV) among young people. Day One partners with New York City youth to end IPSV through a combination of preventive and direct services. Our multi-disciplinary approach brings together a highly collaborative staff with expertise in legal and social services, prevention education, and youth leadership development. Serving New York City youth up to 24 years of age, our Direct Services Program provides direct legal representation, advice and information, individual and group counseling, and case management services to survivors.

Salary and Benefits: The annual salary range for this position is $67,000 - $72,000 USD, depending on experience and language capacity. Day One offers a benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts, and generous vacation all benefits for work will be prorated based on a 35-hour workweek. Supervision hours will be provided by an LCSW beginning approximately 6 months after hire.
