    Description

    Anticipated Start Date: October 1, 2025

    Anticipated End Date: January 31, 2026

    The total work hours for this temporary position will vary between 10 to 40 hours per week, based on project needs and operational demands.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Credit Analyst (CA) will be primarily responsible for underwriting SBA 7a loans, which involves:

    • Working and communicating with the lending team and applicants
    • Perform eligibility, credit analysis and underwriting functions for qualified applicants to the SBA 7a Lending program.
    • Compiling, handling and maintaining all documentation, list of questions/concerns and outstanding issues/resolutions of each individual loan application and process
    • Create quality loan reports for review by the Director of Credit

    QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

    Experience & Education

    The prospective candidate should have an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience with SBA 7a underwriting.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Familiarity with accounting and/or finance and analytic concepts required
    • Demonstrated ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple projects effectively while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
    • Self-motivated professional who consistently set ambitious goals and exceed performance expectations with minimal supervision.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and build effective working relationships.
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) experience required.
    • Working knowledge of “Spark” preferred

    REPORTS TO:

    The CA will work under the general supervision and direct guidance of the Small Business Director of Credit.
