    Are you passionate about empowering LGBTQAI+ youth and building inclusive communities? Do you thrive at the intersection of education, youth development, and community organizing?

    Live Out Loud, a nonprofit organization in New York City, is seeking an Educational Program Facilitator to design and lead innovative LGBTQAI+ programming for middle and high school students. In this role, you’ll partner with schools to create safe, affirming spaces where LGBTQAI+ youth can discover their voices, connect with role models, and grow as leaders of change.

    Your Future Role:

    • Create innovative educational lessons and workshops for middle and high school students.
    • Administers the course process and provides for the development of new courses and workshops.
    • Coordinate the production of Live Out Loud’s educational materials, collateral, and takeaways.
    • Facilitate 60–90-minute educational programs in-person at NYC middle and high schools and GSA Summit.
    • Oversees partnerships and serves as liaison with current and new partners, guest speakers, professional organizations, corporate partners, school districts.
    • Coordinates with the DOE on final reports.
    • Contribute as part of the Program Committee in guiding the growth and improvement of our educational programs.
    • Evaluate and create program metrics and be up to date on program performance.
    • Maintain post event documentation including attendance tracking, program reporting, and partner follow-ups.
    • Contributes to social media presence, assisting with drafting of posts, stories, videos and campaigns.

    Scholarship Program Management

      • Coordinate and administer all phases of the scholarship program, including application management, review and scoring, finalist interviews, and selection, with a focus on equity and impact.

    You Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (master’s degree in education, social work is nice to have).
    • 2-4 years of experience in education, social work, or youth development.
    • Excellent leadership, program coordination and community organizing skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which demonstrate commitment to and respect of equity and inclusion.
    • Must be able to work as part of a team or independently to prioritize projects and meet multiple deadlines on time.
    • Regularly reviews and leads lesson plan update and revision process for current course offerings.
    • Marketing and social media experience.
    • Facilitating experience.
    • Knowledge (and passion!) of LGBTQAI+ community and issues.
