    Position Details

    • Employment type: Part-time; non-exempt
    • Compensation: $35/hour plus benefits

    • Location: Seattle, WA based, hybrid (telework and weekly in-office and meeting expectations). Occasional night or weekend hours required with some regional travel for events and meetings.

    Position Summary

    This 20 hour/week position is a project-based role focused on gift processing, data entry, and donor research. The position supports Washington’s National Park Fund’s (WNPF)Together for the Parks campaign, which is anticipated to conclude in December 2027[SD1] . This position could have a possible extension beyond the conclusion of the campaign. The Campaign Coordinator (CC) reports to WNPF’s Philanthropy Director while working closely with the Marketing and Communications Director for database administration. The CC is responsible for creating clean and effective donor data toward the goal of enhanced donor communications and stewardship, ensuring that every supporter feels valued and connected to WNPF’s mission of raising funds to preserve and enhance the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and recreational opportunities of Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks so that they remain vibrant, thriving ecosystems and cherished destinations for future generations. This role supports fundraising activity and interacts with WNPF’s development, events, and marketing teams, working collaboratively with the organization’s 7 full-time staff, as well as consultants who support the Campaign, grantwriting, accounting, and IT.

    Primary Responsibilities

      • Process all incoming donations, ensuring gifts are properly coded and batched for accounting
      • Make bank deposits
      • Work closely with accounting staff to ensure monthly reconciliation between the donor database and financial records
      • Generate and send timely acknowledgment and tax receipt letters to donors
      • Maintain the overall integrity and quality of donor data by performing regular audits and database cleanup activities
      • Generate reports and mailing lists for appeals, newsletters, event invitations, and other donor communications
    • Use tools such as iWave to identify and analyze prospective donors
    • Support fundraisers with portfolio tracking and moves management
    • Maintain the campaign communications pipeline; help shape messaging for emails, newsletters, and storytelling
      • Create and pull reports and queries from the donor database to support fundraising efforts and committee meetings, including campaign progress, donor lists, and financial summaries
      • Provide general administrative support to the development team and CEO, such as managing files, scheduling meetings, inputting donor data, supporting donor communications, and processing invoices and pledge reminders
    • Provide logistical support for donor events including compiling briefing memos, post‐event tracking and other support as needed
    • Assist with special stewardship efforts including donor calls and personalized letters, and assisting with larger mail projects

    Desired Qualifications

      • 2+ years of experience in a fundraising or administrative support role, preferably within a non-profit organization
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Keen attention to detail, adept at proofreading, and highly organized
    • Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Database experience. Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Greater Giving a plus
      • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Flexibility in varied job assignments and a willingness to pitch in when/where needed
    • An understanding of, and belief in, WNPF’s mission
    • A strong work ethic, creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, organization and attention to detail are required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
    • Valid, insurable Washington State Driver’s License and ability to travel by personal vehicle.

    Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.

    • Work is normally performed in a home and a professional indoor office work environment.
    • Continuously remain in a sedentary position the majority of the day – employees are expected to create and maintain an ergonomic home workstation.
    • Operate a computer with time spent looking at monitor about 80% of the time.
    • Communicate and exchange accurate information clearly with others.
    • Continuously able to interpret visual content displayed on a digital screen.
    • Very limited to no exposure to physical risk.
    • Very limited to no physical effort required.
    • Walk or stand occasionally, including for extensive periods of time at events.
    • Use hands, wrists, and fingers to manipulate, control, or feel objects, tools, or equipment.
    • Move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, or otherwise manipulate objects of at least 30 pounds.

    In-Person Attendance and Travel:

    Given the nature of the support and administrative type of work needed in this role, the candidate should be conveniently located to travel to the downtown Seattle office one to two days per work week. Travel time to the office is not compensated.
