    Description

DC Peers, a small nonprofit dedicated to creating more neurodiverse social opportunities and supports in the community, is looking for a few part-time facilitators for its free and low-cost programs. We offer social meetups, neurodiversity workshops, social strategies workshops, support circles, and drop-in activities for neurodivergent teens and adults, and our focus is on creating a non-clinical, low-key environment of acceptance, interest-based activities, and fun.

Working with us is a great opportunity for those who are professionally and/or personally invested in deepening our community’s understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of our autistic and neurodivergent peers.

We seek both experienced teachers/coaches/mentors who can take the lead with groups, as well as applicants who want more experience. Will pay $25-50/hour based on experience. Qualifications of the ideal candidate of either kind: experience with or deep interest in autism and neurodiversity, great communication skills, sense of humor, resourcefulness, flexibility, and reliable availability on evenings and/or weekends.
