    Organization Overview

    UnLocal, Inc. is a community-centered non-profit organization that provides direct immigration legal representation and community education to New York City’s immigrant communities. Our Legal team uses a comprehensive approach to advocacy, combining consultations, representation, training, and outreach to support impacted community members.

    Position Summary:

    The Program Manager will play a critical role in bridging community outreach, workforce development, and direct client services. This position will lead outreach initiatives to engage immigrant communities, connect individuals to workforce development opportunities, and provide case management support through referrals, resources, and individualized plans. The role combines program organizing with hands-on case management to ensure that immigrant clients have the tools they need to thrive. This is a one-year, full-time contract position (FTE) with the possibility of renewal based on funding and organizational need. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Outreach & Community Education.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Outreach & Community Organizing

    • Develop and lead outreach strategies to engage immigrant communities across NYC.
    • Represent the organization at community events, coalitions, and partner meetings.
    • Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, workforce agencies, and service providers.
    • Facilitate workshops, trainings, and informational sessions on workforce and support services.

    Workforce Development

    • Coordinate workforce development programming, including job readiness workshops, skills training, and referrals to partner organizations.
    • Support clients in navigating employment pathways, vocational training, and certification opportunities.
    • Track workforce development outcomes and maintain strong partnerships with employers and training providers.

    Case Management & Resource Navigation

    • Provide holistic case management services to immigrant clients, including intake, needs assessment, goal setting, and individualized service planning.
    • Connect clients to resources such as housing, healthcare, food access, language classes, and legal support.
    • Maintain accurate client records, track outcomes, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and reporting requirements.
    • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure clients receive wraparound support alongside immigration legal services.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in social work, community organizing, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • At least 3 years of experience in case management, workforce development, or community organizing, preferably within immigrant or marginalized communities.
    • Strong knowledge of NYC-based workforce development systems and community resources.
    • Experience working with immigrant populations and understanding of challenges faced by undocumented communities.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
    • Fluency in Spanish (or another language) strongly preferred.
    • Commitment to social justice, equity, and immigrant rights.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience supervising or mentoring staff, interns, or volunteers.
    • Familiarity with immigration legal services and legal service provider networks.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and best practices in client-centered support.
    • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills for community presentations and trainings.
    • Ability to collect, analyze, and report program data for funder or organizational use.
    • Tech-savvy with experience using databases, case management systems (e.g., LegalServer), or CRM tools.
    • Program Management skills are highly encouraged.

    Salary & Benefits:

    • Full-time position.
    • Salary: $70,000 annually

    This position primarily involves sedentary work, including extended periods of sitting, use of a computer, and communication via phone and video conferencing. Travel will be required for funder outreach or partner meetings. Position frequently moves items of up to 10 pounds across the office or into off-site locations.
