The Senior Engagement Associate is expected to be flexible in working evenings and weekends to meet the needs of a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes a solutions-driven approach to address challenges in the field. This candidate has a self-starter attitude. We seek bilingual candidates (English-Spanish), detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and are experienced with data entry, analysis, and tracking to inform strategy.     Position Overview

    The Engagement Associate (EA) plays a key role in building and maintaining connections between Power of Two and the communities we serve. Reporting to the Senior Engagement Manager, the EA is responsible for outreach efforts, relationship building with partner organizations, and the direct recruitment and re-engagement of families for Power of Two’s programs. Utilizing innovative engagement strategies, the EA ensures our programming reaches families in need, fostering meaningful relationships with caregivers and community-based organizations.

    Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Location: Bronx, NY or Brooklyn, NY Office Locations, Fieldwork across NYC

    Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach or partnership development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Recruitment, Engagement and Support:

    • Collaborate with the Senior Engagement Manager to design and implement innovative outreach strategies tailored to underserved and marginalized communities.
    • Manage 5-8 partnership accounts across NYC to cultivate authentic relationships to obtain referrals and track partners’ progress. The EA will meet monthly to maintain these relationships and collaborate on effective solutions to address challenges and celebrate strengths.
    • Facilitate highly effective and results-driven outreach efforts to recruit quality referrals. Outreach efforts include, but are not limited to, tabling, canvassing, outreach calls/email blasts, partner joint visits, presentations/workshops, and events. This will be offered to new families and/or partner organizations to promote program awareness and education during community functions that may occur evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Conduct weekly outreach to families who have paused or exited the program to address barriers to program participation and re-engage them in services. Provide support to the Parent Coach teams to ensure timely completion of ABC sessions, ideally to completion.
    • Support the Referrals team in screening new families upon obtaining their referral to assess for viability, interest, and readiness for the program as needed.
    • Support other teams and departments as needed to reach organizational goals.
    • Utilize other external databases such as Unite Us and FindHelp to create a pipeline for referrals to Power of Two and the ABC program.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Document all outreach activities and efforts in the organization’s internal database in a timely manner.
    • Maintain organized, accurate, and detailed records of caregiver and partner data.
    • Track referral progress from recruitment to family served to ensure quality engagement and progress towards organizational goals.
    • Support vulnerable people across NYC by providing screenings and navigation services to trusted community resources, leveraging external databases like Unite Us and FindHelp.
    • Update marketing and outreach materials as needed (flyers, referrals forms, screenings, scripts, educational tools such as presentation decks, slides).

    Supervision and Professional Development:

    • Prepare for and participate in weekly supervision meetings to review performance and obtain additional support.
    • Engage in reflective practice and continued professional development.
    • Attend regular mandatory training and meetings to maintain knowledge of program goals and strategies.
