    Who We Are

    SaverLife is a national nonprofit and advocacy organization using technology to improve the financial health of people living on low-to-moderate incomes. SaverLife helps our members build financial health and savings through our fintech product, with a personalized experience that includes financial content, savings rewards and incentives, trusted referrals, and access to a supportive online community. Leveraging our fintech product and research findings, we bring our members' voices and priorities into system-level conversations to ensure current and emerging products, programs, and policies support their unique financial health journeys.

    About the Role:

    We are looking for a creative, thoughtful, highly collaborative, and conscientious communicator to play a key role in maintaining SaverLife’s online presence and supporting cross-departmental communications efforts. This role supports the execution of SaverLife’s communications strategy through email marketing, website content, social media creation, storytelling, and design. If you are a talented writer and editor who is comfortable multitasking and a masterful translator of complex ideas into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences, we want to hear from you.

    What You Will Do:

    Create & Edit Content (40%)

    • Write, edit, and proofread content for reports, member stories, blog posts, and internal communications.
    • Enter edits and corrections into report drafts in coordination with multiple stakeholders.
    • Re-imagine content and articles to become more interactive formats, including quizzes, infographics, and video scripts.
    • Lead the creation of a new house style guide that empowers teams to produce clear, consistent, and impactful content organization-wide.
    • Create organic social media posts highlighting member stories, new content, product features, SaverLife research, and more.
    • Monitor and respond to engagement on social media channels and direct messages.

    Coordinate & Develop Email Messaging (20%)

    • Build and schedule monthly newsletters and other email communications in Mailchimp.
    • Manage and maintain stakeholder email lists and segmentation.
    • Write copy across SaverLife channels including email, social media, SMS, and push notifications.

    Manage Our Website (15%)

    • Update and maintain website content, including staff bios, contact information, blogs, reports, and landing pages.
    • Manage website migration efforts as we transition to a new platform.
    • Support the creation of new landing pages for reports, campaigns, and storytelling initiatives.

    Coordinate Event Communications (10%)

    • Track communications-related deadlines for events, conferences, and campaigns.
    • Lead the submission of speaking opportunities and pitching engagements.
    • Maintain records of events attended and manages promotional content.

    Deliver Cross-functional Support (10%)

    • Build slide decks for presentations, reports, and meetings.
    • Act as a liaison across the organization to ensure all teams have access to relevant content and materials

    Other (5%)

    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Who You Are:

    • You are a strong collaborator who loves working as part of a harmonious team.
    • You’ve got an analytic mind and take time to process information before offering your thoughts.
    • You’ve got terrific attention to detail and like to get things right.
    • You take initiative and dive in to and support different teams and projects as needed

    What You Bring:

    • 1–3 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong eye for detail and clarity.
    • Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar).
    • Familiarity with email marketing tools (Mailchimp preferred) and social media platforms.
    • Basic understanding of graphic design principles; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite a must.
    • Strong project management skills; able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks across teams.
    • Experience working with diverse communities and a deep commitment to inclusive storytelling.

    SaverLife is a remote-first organization. We are ideally looking for a candidate who lives in the Eastern Standard Time zone and is open to occasional travel as needed. This position is only open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.

    • This is a part-time non-exempt position with an hourly rate of between $28.85 and $31.25, depending on experience.
    • We believe in work-life balance and are committed to keeping the workload aligned with this value. In addition, we offer Flexible Work Schedules.
    • Life and long-term disability coverage.
    • 1 1/2 weeks of accrued vacation per year.
    • 5 paid sick days per year.
    • 11 paid holidays per year.
    • $1,000 per year allocated for professional development.
    • A generous 401K match.
    • $50 per month internet stipend and up to $500 to set up your home office.
