    Description

    ISB seeks a Full-Time Preschool French Teacher Leave Replacement

    Candidates should be able to use their expertise in Early Childhood Education to confidently lead a Preschool classroom in French. Teachers at ISB are expected to work collaboratively in lesson planning to implement a strong and engaging PYP curriculum. Candidates should hold a degree in Education, have at least two years of head teaching experience in an early childhood school setting, and be fluent in Spanish.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Passion for fostering the development of young children through developmentally appropriate practices and effective classroom management
    • Ability to create engaging, differentiated learning experiences that nurture the whole child
    • Experience working with preschool-aged children, demonstrating patience, positive energy, and a dynamic sense of humor
    • Skill in integrating multiple approaches and resources to design rich, inquiry-based lessons
    • Familiarity with the IB PYP curriculum and its pedagogical principles is a plus

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach pre-literacy, science, social studies, and math in French, following the IB PYP framework, and the French curriculum
    • Develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons that integrate elements of the PYP
    • Foster a positive, collaborative classroom environment with clear routines and expectations
    • Use varied assessment methods to track progress and differentiate instruction
    • Collaborate with teaching team(s), specialists, and support staff to enhance learning
    • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and learning goals.
    • Engage in professional development related to IB PYP and early childhood education.

    Salary Range: $30.98- $51.12 /hourly rate (commensurate with experience). This position is not eligible for ISB’s full benefits package.
