    Description

    PureLegacee seeks a dynamic, energetic, and results-oriented individual as the Program Director. Reporting to Executive Director, the Program Director lead the successful delivery of the Mentorship Training Program, Internship Leadership Program and Resource Hub.

    The Program Director will play a critical role in executing strategic organizational vision and goals through programmatic and operational leadership and innovation, helping position PureLegacee for growth. This person should have passion for social justice and familiarity with the criminal justice system. This individual will bring a minimum of four (4) years of nonprofit experience, with hands-on, progressive programmatic development and oversight responsibility. In addition, they will bring two (2) years of leadership and management experience, with a proven track record of identifying and cultivating high-performing teams dedicated to mission impact.

    In partnership with the Executive Director, the Program Director will set goals for our programs in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising evaluation strategies, overseeing implementation, and ensuring compliance with grant deliverables and internal policies.

    The candidate will manage a team of four (4) that includes, Training Facilitators (3) and a Peer Navigator. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, posses strong project management, and be able to manage a team that will work on the frontlines of the population we serve.

    Responsibilities

    Program Development, Management & Compliance

    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the workforce development delivery model and the mentoring program, ensuring compliance with grant deliverables, and translating complex information for practical use on the ground.
    • Successfully lead the design and expanded development of youth centered educational programs and curricula.
    • Ensure curricula remains rooted in safety and trauma-informed care and aligns with our mission, learning objectives and outcomes.
    • Ensure the delivery of qualitative and quantitative goals and outcomes of programs and service areas in collaboration with the program team.
    • Build out a

    Performance Monitoring and Evaluation

    • Devise and implement evaluation strategies to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Research and integrate best practices and emerging trends in the youth services industry with a focus on trends impacting young people impacted by the foster care system and criminal legal system.
    • Implement and oversee a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service areas, focusing on systems and process improvement.
    • Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for staff, participants and stakeholders to give feedback on program operations.

    Strategic Innovation

    • Bring strategic thinking to the role, anticipating challenges, and staying abreast of changes in the landscape as it relates to young women and girls. Foster an environment that encourages innovation in servicing system impacted individuals, ensuring the program remains relevant and effective.
    • Serve as a thought leader on workforce issues unique/and or inclusive of women and girls, as well as other workforce issues.

    People Management

    • Develop and lead a team of five direct reports, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
    • Manage team’s ability to effectively carry out monitoring and compliance responsibilities (funder reports, data management, etc.) as well as provide technical assistance supports (regular site visits, training development, etc.)
    • Engage with other departments within PureLegacee to ensure strong collaborations, effective program delivery, and sharing of best practices.

    Relationship Management

    • Build rapport with affiliates, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and maintain effective communication to ensure program success.
    • Manage upwards and downwards within the organization, effectively conveying complex information to different stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the nonprofit sector with hands-on, progressive programmatic development and oversight responsibility.
    • At least two (2) years of leadership and management experience, with a proven track record of identifying and cultivating high-performing teams dedicated to mission impact.
    • Familiarity with the criminal justice system and a passion for social justice issues.
    • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, etc.) is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong skills in program development, implementation, and evaluation. Experience in workforce development and mentoring programs is highly desirable.
    • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with grant deliverables and internal policies. Experience in managing grant-funded programs is a plus.
    • Ability to anticipate challenges, stay informed about changes in the field, and foster an environment of innovation.
    • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
    • Experience in devising and implementing evaluation strategies to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ability to provide technical assistance and support to team members, including regular site visits and training development.
    • A strong commitment to social justice and improving outcomes for system-impacted individuals.
    • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and program development.
    • Sensitivity and understanding of the cultural backgrounds and experiences of the population served by PureLegacee.
