    Job Announcement: Operations Manager, Part-Time (Possible Full-Time)

    The Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) is the political voice of Oregon's environmental community. OLCV is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that -- along with its sister organizations OLCV Education Fund and OLCV PAC-- passes laws to protect our natural legacy, elects pro-environment candidates, and holds our elected officials accountable. OLCV is committed to creating a culture of justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization and outward. We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented person to join our team in a part-time position (25-32 hours/week) as operations manager. We are also open to an expanded scope of the role for this to be a full-time position.

    Job Description: The operations manager works with the executive director and OLCV staff to manage general operations, including office management, bill paying, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks that ensure smooth functioning of the organization. This position reports to the executive director.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Manage, alongside the executive director, bill payment, accounts receivable, external accounting reports, and assisting bookkeepers with accurate and timely recording
    • Prepare bank deposits, including compliance and recording in database and to bookkeeping firm
      • Manage general human resources responsibilities, such as new employee onboarding
    • Ensure smooth functioning of the OLCV office by ordering supplies, answering phones, ensuring working office machinery and computer services, and some planning for internal events
      • Assist development director with external events, particularly our large annual event
    • Share in OLCV’s commitment to working on equity and justice

    Some qualities and skills we appreciate:

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
    • Ability to be both a self-starter and a team player
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Eye for detail, accuracy, and consistency
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with databases and/or recordkeeping

    Location & Hours: OLCV’s office is in SE Portland. This position is required to work in the office. As a part-time position, it is 25-32 hours per week. There is some flexibility on exact hours, but should fall between 8am-5pm M-F. If interested in full-time and expanded scope, it would be 40hrs/week and M-F.

    Compensation: Pay depends on hours and experience; ranges: $32,500-$45,000 part-time and $52,000-$56,000 full-time. Part-time employees receive generous holiday, vacation (proportionate to hours), and retirement package, as well as health/dental/vision benefits.
