    Description

    The Calculus Project (TCP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access, equity, and success in mathematics for underrepresented students. Our programs empower students through academic preparation, community support, and enrichment opportunities that expand pathways to STEM and higher education.

    TCP is seeking an experienced Communications Manager (hourly/consultant) to strengthen our communications, marketing, and donor engagement systems. This role will help unify messaging, enhance visibility, and support fundraising strategies through storytelling, digital engagement, and data-driven campaigns.

    The Communications Manager will lead and coordinate strategies that:

    • Build consistent and compelling TCP brand messaging.
    • Increase donor engagement and retention through data-informed communication.
    • Support fundraising campaigns and partnership development.
    • Streamline internal and external communication processes.
    • Strengthen TCP’s digital presence and public visibility.

    Deliverables will include:

    • Short term tasks:
      • Plan and execute Annual Appeal to be sent in 2025.
      • Support storytelling for Annual Report.
      • Social media marketing plan and execution.
    • Longer term tasks:
      • Comprehensive communications and marketing plan aligned with the organization's strategic plan (including digital, email, PR, and social media).
      • Editorial and campaign calendar aligned with TCP’s development goals.
      • Automated donor stewardship system integrated with LGL.
      • Monthly analytics and impact reports (donor engagement, website, social media).
      • Updated fundraising webpage content optimized for conversion.
      • Brand-aligned storytelling assets (graphics, videos, success stories).
