    This is a 32 hr/wk (.8 FTE) flexible non-exempt position with a pay range of $27-29/hour, DOE.

    Description

    We are looking for a dynamic person to join our small staff team as the Communications and Development Manager. This person will bring skills related to fundraising, event planning and support, donor cultivation, and grant support. Our ideal candidate is excited about leveraging their time and talents toward a common purpose and inspires others to join them.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Lead communications efforts across various channels, including email, website updates, social media posts, and print materials
    • Plan and implement fundraising events and campaigns with teams of staff, board, and volunteers
    • Pursue sponsor, donor, and volunteer prospects, as well as ensuring ongoing donor cultivation and recognition
    • Manage the day-to-day gift stewardship process, including timely processing of donations and acknowledgement letters
    • Support volunteers and work-study students in the resource center
    • Model a commitment to JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) goals
    • Work with the Executive Director to prepare appeals, coordinate mailings, and track progress on goals related to visibility and engagement
    • Develop materials for communicating with potential and current donors and key stakeholders, ensuring consistent branding and messaging
    • Support ED in other fund development activities
    • General administrative and operational support
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in project/event coordination or fundraising in the nonprofit sector (can be substituted for transferrable experience)
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling fundraising campaigns and appeals
    • Team orientation and alignment with mission and vision of QAH
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines consistently
    • Ability to work independently with limited guidance as well as collaboratively with warmth and professionalism
    • An understanding of structural and institutional racism and a strong commitment to countering racism and other forms of oppression
    • Computer proficiency with experience using the Microsoft Office suite and other software as required; Experience with Little Green Light, Constant Contact, Canva, Apricot, and Quick Books Online desired
    • Position requires occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, primarily in processing in-kind donations of food and clothing
