  • Mission

Our goal is to achieve a Marine Protected Area for the Inhambane Province in Mozambique, and achieve higher biodiversity whilst protecting endangered species. We work with the locals to help them achieve sustainable fishing. We record data on the local artisanal catches, focussing on sharks and rays as well as conducting research on humpback whales, whale sharks and coral reefs. We're also building bridges with the local community by teaching and renovating local schools.

    About Us

Love the Oceans is a charitable non-profit marine conservation organisation working in Guinjata Bay, Mozambique. We drive action towards a more sustainable future through research, education and diving. Guinjata Bay, whilst home to a huge host of marine life, has never been studied in depth for any prolonged amount of time. Love The Oceans hopes to protect and study the diverse marine life found here, including many species of sharks, rays and the famous humpback whales.

We offer a cutting edge volunteer program that gives individuals the chance to work along side our leading marine biologists and the community helping with conservation through research, education and diving. Volunteers gain experience through our research, education and fish IDing programs over the space of 2 - 6 weeks.
