    About Us

Hyde Street Community Services (HSCS) has provided comprehensive psychiatric, medical, substance abuse, and case management services to San Francisco residents since 1975. Our clinic seeks to serve the whole person, which means addressing not only their mental health needs with access to counseling and psychiatry, but also any substance use treatment, connecting to primary health care if needed, obtaining benefits and housing, and providing social activities. We are located between the Tenderloin and Nob Hill neighborhoods of San Francisco, but clients come from throughout the city. They are referred from hospitals, crisis centers, and other health and mental health care providers. Clients often refer others to Hyde Street Community Services because we are a clinic where staff accept clients as they are. Our goal is to make clients feel safe and respected and to make sure that they receive the treatment that they deserve.
