AUBURN VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY

  • Mission

The Auburn Valley Humane Society enriches the lives of companion animals and people through animal sheltering, programs and community engagement.

    About Us

In 2010, in response to budget shortfalls and a decrease in serviced by King Co. Animal Control, concerned citizens and the City of Auburn met to discuss the future of animal care in the City of Auburn. The primary goal was to establish an independent local animal shelter aimed at caring for Auburn Valley’s lost, stray and abandoned pet population. With guidance and support from the City of Auburn and the out-pouring of support from the community, Auburn Valley Humane Society was established and opened its doors to the shelter in early 2013! We strive to employ progressive animal sheltering practices along with a comprehensive approach to company culture. The combination of happy pets and healthy people results in a strong organization prepared for the challenge of animal welfare work and committed to serving our communities.
