Founded in South Africa in 2007, Praekelt.org builds mobile technologies to improve the wellbeing of people in low and middle-income countries in order to deliver essential information and vital services.
Praekelt.org implements digital health solutions using mobile technology to reduce the burden on health workers, improve the health of patients and empower existing health systems. The organization harnesses the power of communication between patients, health workers and health systems to ensure that:
- patients are informed and empowered;
- health workers are supported and valued;
- and health system officials have the information they need to make informed and effective decisions to improve service delivery and quality.
