    About Us

    Renaissance Social Services, Inc provides housing and support services for Chicago’s most vulnerable homeless residents. This past year, Renaissance helped more than more than 4,300 people - families and individuals - find homes, address their mental and physical health issues, and reintegrate into their communities.

    In 2024, Renaissance helped more than 4,300 unhoused and housing insecure people and families throughout Chicago, including:

    • 2,404 individuals received resources to prevent eviction and homelessness
    • 648 participants living in the agency’s permanent supportive housing, including 71 families
    • 216 individuals who were rapidly re-housed, including 42 families
    • 523 people living on the streets and in shelters were connected to housing, health care, and/or behavioral services
    • 533 individuals received initial screening and referrals for housing and services

    With support from Renaissance’s dedicated and compassionate team members, residents in our Permanent Supportive Housing achieved transformational personal outcomes:

    • 93% of participants remained in housing for one year or longer
    • 89% of participants achieved at least one of their stabilization goals
    • 90% of participants avoided unnecessary hospitalization
    • 98% of participants avoided psychiatric hospital admissions
    • 95% of participants avoided eviction
    • 97% of participants avoided incarceration
