Making it Happen, Inc is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2013 by Pattee Colvin. Pattee was experiencing homelessness and was helped by volunteers at a foodbank. She eventually started volunteering herself, as she was deeply moved by the compassion of the volunteers. Pattee's life improved exponentially, and she wanted to give back to others who were struggling. So she founded Making It Happen, Inc. We provide food & groceries, clothing, access to temporary and permanent housing solutions, job connections, and access to medical services. We also hold an annual Christmas gift-giving celebration for children in the community who are homeless and disadvantaged. We serve the underemployed, unemployed, and homeless seniors, veterans, immigrants, children, families, and individuals and are run by volunteers who want to help build a community of support for anyone who is struggling.
