Ushers greet guests, help them find their seats, and hand out programs. Ushers have the opportunity to see the show after all guests have been seated. If there are any late arrivals, it will be the responsibility of the Ushers to seat them at an appropriate time, as quietly as possible. After the show, Ushers make sure the theatre is presentable and ready for the next performance. Many Ushers volunteer with friends or family members. An initial training session in theatre and safety procedures is required by The Playhouse, as is annual update/informational meeting.
