We have various volunteer opportunities available, see below:
Administrative - support hospice office operations. Administrative opportunities can include - Making and answering phone call, writing personalized letters and cards, calling patient's/hcp to inquire about any needs they may have.
Direct patient care - visit and support patients one-on-one. Direct patient care opportunities can include - Providing bedside companionship, helping families around the house, mowing the homecare lawns (must be 18 yrs. old), assisting with veteran visits, calling families to collect historical information on patient and help with creating a biography of their loved one.
Professional volunteer - professional opportunities are provided by volunteers who have a special skill or credentials to share with our patients and families. these can include:
Reiki/Massage/Other
Music Therapy
Art Therapy
Hairdresser/Barber
Bereavement support - researching obituaries and sharing the links with our team to help bring closure to our team.
