    Description

Use your research skills and eye for detail to support our Farm Animal Protection team's work.

In our efforts to create a better world for farm animals, Humane World for Animals' Farm Animal Protection campaign has assembled a Food Service Innovation team of chefs, dietitians and food service specialists to teach thousands of culinary professionals in institutions across the country how to prepare delicious plant-based meals. By offering free culinary trainings, recipe development, greenhouse gas assessments, marketing strategies and more, we are opening people's minds (and stomachs!) to the delicious, nutritious and animal-friendly world of plant-based eating.

We have a great opportunity for volunteers to help update our Airtable database of contact information and search for new institutions and contacts to add to our database.

    Benefits of volunteering

The volunteers will gain experience with Customer Relationship Management software (CRMs) and data collection/organization, learn about Humane World's efforts to make menus at institutions more animal friendly, and learn about the organization's mission.

    Becoming a volunteer

    Requirements for our volunteers:

    • Strong reading and research skills
    • Attentive to detail
    • Strong familiarity with the Internet and online research tools
    • Able to work independently and use good judgement
    • Experience with CRMs of any kind as well as a strong sense of organization and data collection preferred
    • Experience using Airtable a plus
    • Basic knowledge of the food service industry and our food service innovation work are pluses

    Commitment policy:

    • Volunteers commit to approximately three hours per week for three months.

    Restrictions:
