    Garden/Horticulture/Conservation

    Enjoy gardening, or would you like to learn more about native plants? Use your time, energy and talent to help our demonstration gardens grow and flourish. A strong interest in Florida native plants, and conservation issues are very helpful. Having a green thumb is not a prerequisite!

    Duties include:

    • Learning about Florida native plants in our Butterfly and Demonstration gardens.
    • Cleanup/trim/weed in our native gardens, seed collection, propagation, potting, etc.
    • Volunteers must be able to work in the heat, to bend, squat, dig, chop, and lift 20 lbs.
    • Weekly volunteer shifts are preferred with a minimum of two shifts per month (2-3 hours).

    We depend on volunteers to keep our demonstrations gardens in shape- join our team!
