    Description

Student Garden Watering Support Perkins School for the Blind

No prior experience needed! Help us keep student gardens watered in July and August so that our Vocational Horticulture students have plants for early fall to work with. We are seeking people willing to pick a day (or more) of the week to deep water planting spaces for an hour or two, consistently through July and August into the first week of September as possible (missing a week is fine, but we need a consistent presence). No prior experience required. If you are interested we can work with your schedule to pick a day (days). Early morning is best or late day works best in the summer heat, but we can discuss as needed to work with your schedule. Gardeners and harvesters of veggies welcome, as we try to harvest for local emergency food providers while students are away at least once a week!
