    Description

    About the Role:

We’re looking for a pragmatic WordPress Developer (Simplicity & Functionality Focused) who can assemble beautiful, responsive, and functional websites using the core features of WordPress. You’ll leverage themes, page builders, and plugins to create simple and easy-to-maintain websites—no overly customized themes or complex plugin development.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Build and assemble websites using WordPress's existing ecosystem: themes, plugins, and page builders.
      • Ensure all websites are user-friendly, responsive, and easy to manage without requiring heavy custom code.
      • Customize themes and plugins lightly using CSS, JavaScript, and PHP when needed to adjust layout, design, or functionality.
      • Maintain site performance, speed, and mobile responsiveness.
      • Keep the backend clean and intuitive for non-technical users.
      • Implement best practices in design, usability, SEO basics, and accessibility.

    Ideal Candidate:

      • Strong experience working with WordPress (especially with builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg).
      • Knows how to keep things simple—prioritizing clarity and functionality over complexity.
      • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for light customizations.
      • Understands UX/UI basics and has an eye for clean, modern web design.
      • Communicates clearly and values maintainability as much as aesthetics.

    Bonus Points For:

      • Experience working with marketing or content teams.
      • Familiarity with SEO and site optimization.
      • Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
