    Description

    Onboarding Specialist

    Location: Remote

    Reports To: Director of Administration and finance

    About the Role

    As an Onboarding Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for new hires, responsible for delivering a smooth and engaging onboarding experience. You’ll play a key role in helping employees integrate into the company culture, understand processes, and feel supported from day one. Your work ensures that every new team member feels welcomed, informed, and ready to succeed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires, including orientation sessions, training schedules, and resource distribution.
    • Serve as the primary contact for new employees during their initial weeks, answering questions and providing guidance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Facilities, Managers) to ensure all onboarding tasks are completed in a timely and seamless manner.
    • Maintain and continuously improve onboarding materials, documents, and workflows to enhance the new hire experience.
    • Track onboarding progress and gather feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
    • Help build a welcoming and inclusive company culture through thoughtful onboarding practices.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in onboarding, HR, or administrative coordination roles.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with HRIS systems, onboarding software, and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, etc.).
    • A people-first mindset and a passion for creating positive employee experiences.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company environment.
    • Familiarity with remote and hybrid onboarding processes.
