Volunteer with GHCCM - Make a Difference in Our Community

Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry (GHCCM) invites compassionate, service-minded individuals to join us in supporting our neighbors in need. Our mission is to provide essential care and dignity to those facing hardship-and we can’t do it without you.

We are especially in need of bilingual volunteers to help bridge communication gaps and ensure every client feels welcomed, understood, and respected.

At GHCCM, we offer a wide range of services, including:

• Medical, Dental, and Vision Care

• Pharmaceutical Support

• Crisis Intervention and Diabetic Nutrition Programs

• Client Services, such as laundry and shower access

Volunteer opportunities are available across many areas of the ministry, including:

• Answering phones, greeting clients, and front desk receptionist duties

• Filing, copying, faxing, and organizing paperwork

• Sorting clothing and donated items

• Cleaning and maintaining common areas

• Packing grocery bags and restocking food/clothing supplies

• Assisting medical, dental, and vision providers

• Supporting nurses and phlebotomists with non-clinical tasks

• Driving ministry vans for patient/client transportation (valid license required)

• Pastoral Care & Faith Leadership - Volunteers to offer prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support

• Worship & Music Volunteers - Musicians and singers to bring uplifting music to our lobby

• Trade-Skills Instructors - Volunteers to lead life-skills or vocational classes that empower clients

Whether you can give a few hours a week or a few days a month, your time, talents, and compassion can bring hope and healing to someone’s life.

We are currently in search of Medical Providers who are willing to see patients.
