    Description

St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation is dedicated to bridging the digital divide and empowering children and youth through education. In line with this mission, we have launched an initiative to teach Computing/IT in underserved basic schools in rural Ghana.

Our goal is to provide students with essential digital skills, enabling them to thrive in the digital age and unlock opportunities for their future and to enable them be at a competitive level with their peers.

    Mission Statement:

Empowering underserved communities by providing technological resources, training and support to address developmental needs.

Volunteers can help high school children in poor, rural communities in Ghana learn basic computer literacy and gain experience with programs like Microsoft Office. Volunteers are not required to have any official ICT credentials – as long as you have experience using computers and a desire to share your skills, you are more than qualified to join the project.

From basic skills to more advanced computer functions, sharing your knowledge with high school pupils in underprivileged areas gives them opportunities they may otherwise never receive.

    Volunteers Role

As an IT and computer education volunteer in Ghana, you’ll support high school children in their educational development. Teaching basic skills like computer functionality, typing and use of simple programs like Microsoft Office, you will help students realize their potential and become more employable.

    Tasks may include:

    • Assisting ICT teachers in the computer lab
    • Showing students how to use simple software like Microsoft Office
    • Teaching students to use the Internet for research
    • Assisting with basic hardware setup

    Work schedule

IT and computer education volunteers work for five days per week, from Monday to Friday. Working hours are from 8am until 3pm each day.
